Growing up a huge Creedence Clearwater Revival fan his dream was to be part of a CCR Tribute Band, and perform the music of one of America’s greatest rock bands. A true professional, Robert’s crowd pleasing style, and spot-on mannerisms mixed with his unique blend of vocal talent, charisma, and personality make him a favorite of fans worldwide. Robert has played, guitar, keyboards, bass, and drums in many bands at different times throughout his career.

Robert Black’s most appealing trait is that he has the ability to connect with the audience and make them feel like they are part of the show. Sweet Hitch-Hiker is a Tribute Band made up of 4 talented musicians which all grew up listening to the music of Creedence Clearwater Revival. Our group is dedicated to the music of this Americana rock band. There is no other Rock n Roll Band that has influenced more musicians, and is loved by millions of people worldwide. Their songbook has become such a deep part of American Rock & Roll. The members of Sweet Hitch-Hiker have recreated a slice of the timeless musical catalog of CCR as well as staying true to the spirit of the original recordings. We hope you enjoy our efforts!
